The Big Pig Gig: An Introduction

blues brotherSince images of pigs seem to piss-off Islamo-fascists, I thought it would be good to revisit The Big Pig Gig.

Cincinnati, Ohio was once known as Porkopolis. They celebrate this fact in many ways. The Flying Pig Marathon is a great example. The Big Pig Gig was another.
The Big Pig Gig was a public art event occurring from May 14 - October 31, 2000, in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. This community-wide initiative celebrates Cincinnati's Porkopolis heritage by showcasing emerging and established local artists, supporting tourism and promoting regional partnerships.
hundreds of pig statues were created and displayed around the city.

To make sure my blog remains annoying to the Islamo-fascist element, I will from time to time feature an image from this insane undertaking. [this is Blues Brother]

Time for a pulled pork sandwich with sweet BBQ sauce.
