Robber Shot Holding Up Pharmacy

abc7.com: Store Owner Shots Man Who Tries to Rob His Pharmacy Good Guys are ahead, even if the get-away driver is still on the run.

The man made the robbery attempt at Maxsons Drugs on Ventura Boulevard at Hazeltine Avenue at 5:20 p.m. Friday, said Los Angeles police Officer Jason Lee. He walked into the pharmacy and demanded vicodin.

Wearing body armor, the would-be robber entered the store and wound up being shot several times in the chest by the store's owner, Lee said.

The body armor wasn't completely effective. He was arrested at a local hospital where he was being treated for gunshot wounds. The goblin was in critical condition.

This being LA, they will of course attempt to charge the store owner with something (I mean be fair, he had a gun, he must be a criminal.) I honestly don't know why (A) any business would be open in CA or (B) anyone would want to live there.
