Ohio Finally Gets Uniform Carry Laws

The Columbus Dispatch - Senate votes to override Taft veto of state gun law The Ohio house voted last week to override.

Different guns were illegal in different cities. Cincinnati for example outlawed semi-autos with 10 or more round capacity magazines - more onerous than even the old Clinton gun ban.

They also eliminated the requirement to carry "in plain sight" while driving. This was fairly insane, and required people to conceal, reveal and conceal firearms many times per day. (No other state had such a ridiculous requirement.)

The cities that love banning guns will sue, of course. Hard to say what the Ohio supreme court will say.

This is the first time the legislature overrode a veto in 29 years.
