OK, this should save time on all future raids

‘How could this happen?’ | | Star-News | Wilmington, NC The police (actually it was more like the paramilitary hit squad) shows up to arrest thief - who was also a college student.

They knock, but don't wait for anyone to answer the door and start breaking it down. Then they don't even bother to wait to see what is on the other side of the door, they shoot the kid before the battering ram has broken the door. It was all a big mistake and so of course the officer (or is that jack-booted thug?) is not responsible in any way.

I wonder what would have happened had someone on the other side of the door started shooting. Someone (unannounced) trying to break in usually constitutes a reasonable threat. Unless that someone is your local jack-booted thug.

So now they don't have announce or knock or even wait to see if there is a threat on the other side of that door. They can just show up and start shooting. Wonderful
