Conventional Vampires

This is why I don't own a TV.
The new show is CBS’ Moonlight ... It’s about a vampire working as a private eye and helping mortals fend off supernatural creatures. And, no, it’s not Angel. That was about a vampire working as a private eye and helping mortals fend off supernatural creatures. See the difference?

Actually, Moonlight has its moments, and it’s not much like Angel in sensibility or approach. It’s a bit more of a conventional crime/supernatural series, and, yeah, there are enough of those for one to be conventional.
OK the good vampire turned crime-fighter was interesting in "Forever Knight," was overworked in "Buffy" and was overdone in "Angel." Do we really need to do this again? How about a werewolf that works as a crime fighter? We already had witches... isn't there another "bad creature gone good" story? Actually I really liked "Brimstone" bet you never saw it, and I thought the comedy in "G vs. E" was first class.

So my point is... isn't there anything new from the darkside?
