When Seconds Count, Police Are Minutes Away

Police seize likely weapon, defend response Calling 911 didn't help this Canadian family.
Police arrived in the upscale Oak Bay neighbourhood after a 911 call from a hysterical woman inside the home asking for help came in at 3:06 a.m. Tuesday.

Oak Bay police officers were the first on scene but didn't enter the home until two backup Saanich police officers arrived. Approximately 15 minutes after the 911 call
15 minutes was long enough for everyone to end up dead.
