Do Unprofessional Cops Deserve Professional Courtesy?

Undercover Arkansas Officer Arrested For DUI I really hate the fact that some police think the rules don't apply to them. Are they right, even part of the time?

An undercover Little Rock police officer was suspended for 30 days after being arrested for drunken driving and trying to get out of it by asking for "professional courtesy."

Don't you have to be "professional" to warrant professional courtesy? And wouldn't that mean, "not breaking the law," for law enforcement types?

I wonder if they do skate by on things that would cause the average Joe grief, because of the fraternity. Scratch that, I wonder HOW OFTEN they skate by. This guy isn't the first to try it.
