I want a new party

The Left - mostly in the form of the media - is fawning over Obama, while he turns us into a Socialist country. (Nationalized health care, Workers seize the means of production at GM, Massive tax increases, etc.)

The Right is decrying the efforts of the GOP to appeal to a broader base. That is someone beyond the anti-gay marriage, anti-abortion folks. (Limited government? The GOP abandoned that a while back. Personal freedom? Where did the prescription drug benefit come from?)

The Libertarians remain insane. Though every day, they look less insane than the Republicans.

I suppose this just points up (again) the validity of Jane's Law.

Jane's Law: The devotees of the party in power are smug and arrogant. The devotees of the party out of power are insane.

So how about a party that is in favor of individual liberty, individual responsibility, policed borders, small government, low taxes, ...
