Why are you listening to a crazy computer?

These things don't navigate well in the city, you are going to follow their advice in the country? Couple in Oregon stranded in snow thanks to GPS

Three days these folks were stuck in the snow. They asked their GPS for the "shortest route." It wasn't quite what they counted on.

It will give you options to pick the shortest route. You certainly get the shortest route. But it may not be a safe route."

I would say that this is unbelievable, but it is all too believable.

So, how far out in the wilderness would you drive, before you decided your GPS was wrong?
